Hi, we’re Suze and Lee Weaver

We hope you will join us as we transition from our very "normal" life to something a little less traditional. We are not experts in downsizing, minimalism, early retirement, or full-time RV living. In fact, we’re not experts in anything! Our goal for this blog is simply to share our travels and adventures with our friends and family. Along the way we hope to continuously learn, grow, and laugh.

Piney Creek bursting at the seams!

Piney Creek bursting at the seams!

After a very rainy and relentless spring, Piney Creek had finally had enough! Last week Monday, Piney Creek reached dangerous flood levels at Penn Wood. We awoke to a flashing light on the office rooftop. We didn’t know what that meant, since we’re newbies around here. It was an alert that Piney Creek was high and people might need to take action. And the volunteer community jumped in to help. A couple of trailers had to be moved to higher ground. There was also a downed tree that had to be moved off the swelling shore, to avoid a dam situation. After a couple of hours of neighbor helping neighbor, all was well and all were safe. It is a wonderful example of community and volunteerism and being a good neighbor!
