We're in and we're almost out!
This past week, since we set up at our first campground, has been very busy. We still have a lot of stuff in our Pittsburgh apartment, so we have been traveling back and forth. Before each trip we need to empty the truck to make room for the stuff we need to load at the apartment. It takes us about 1 1/2 hours to drive into Pittsburgh and of course, 1 1/2 hours to drive back to the campground. The drive can be longer, depending on traffic.
It’s a pretty drive through the Pennsylvania countryside.
One of the benefits of being back at the apartment, is that I get to do my hobby! Laundry! We are lucky to have a washer and dryer in the apartment, so I have gotten used to doing my hobby on a daily basis! I LOVE my hobby. Lee jokes that he can (and sometimes does) wear the same clothes everyday, ‘cause as soon as he takes them off…they’re in the wash! So, while I am doing my hobby in the apartment, Lee is making trip after trip loading the truck, Ol’ Blue. We have made this trip, back and forth, 3 times since we set up camp. We have 1 more planned trip tomorrow to pack up the rest of our belongings and to meet a charity that is coming to take some furniture that we are donating.
It will be such a relief to have our last trip back to the apartment behind us, because every trip takes us ALL day. Then when we get back from one of these trips , there is a ton of unloading and organizing and putting away. Moving is tiring, any way you look at it! House to house, apartment to apartment, apartment to Goldie…So, after tomorrow, we will have everything we own/have with us. In Goldie or Ol’ Blue. Whew!
